ZeroBounce Launches India Website
Note: This article was updated on September 1st, 2023 to reflect the latest developments on India’s DPDP act.
We’re delighted to announce the official launch of ZeroBounce’s India website – available now! The site (zerobounce.in) processes customer data strictly within India, easing concerns about the country’s upcoming privacy laws.
Update, September 1st 2023: On August 11, 2023 the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (“Indian Data Protection Act”) was enacted. However, it is not yet in effect as first, the new data protection board will be creating rules and policies for implementing the Indian Data Protection Act. That process is estimated to be completed towards the end of 2024.
In the meantime, the provisions of the Indian Information Technology Act, which Zerobounce is fully compliant with, continue to govern. As part of Zerobounce’s commitment to compliance with all applicable privacy laws and directives, we have been actively monitoring developments with the Indian Data Protection Act and will continue to monitor and update our policies as necessary.
The new site results from user feedback and allows ZeroBounce’s customers to store and process all of their data solely within India. ZeroBounce hosts all its related services in India, including the front and back-end website.
ZeroBounce’s India website is a proactive response to the DPDP Bill
ZeroBounce.in goes live in the wake of India’s latest draft of the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Bill. First proposed in 2018, the bill aims to give individuals greater control over their data privacy.
The DPDP Bill has had many iterations, including its withdrawal in August 2022. On November 18, 2022, a new draft went up for public consultation and will be presented in Parliament next year.
“The DPDP Bill is neither final nor the law, but its principles remain a potential concern for many companies in India,” explains ZeroBounce COO Brian Minick.
“While we await guidance from a final bill, we created the new ZeroBounce website and functionality to provide additional comfort for our existing and soon-to-be Indian clientele. ZeroBounce will continue to iterate on the site and functionality until there is a final bill.”
Validate your email lists on Zerobounce.in
Our Enterprise Success Manager Bhavna Saxena has also spent time researching and learning about India’s upcoming data privacy law. She emphasizes the need for businesses to verify their email databases – and the peace of mind that the ZeroBounce India website brings to our Indian clients.
“For companies sending transactional and mass marketing emails, email validation is one of the most prominent things to consider,” Bhavna Saxena says. “It helps build a strong customer relationship and brings about engagement for your business.”
She adds that “some of the industries in India and other Asian countries find it challenging to validate their email database if the data is being transferred outside of the region. With our servers in India, ZeroBounce has moved closer to solving that issue. Furthermore, ZeroBounce is 100% focused on customer satisfaction, and we look forward to serving our Indian customers via the India website.”
ZeroBounce has attained major security certifications
Email validation service ZeroBounce currently complies with GDPR for our EU clients. We want to implement similar protections for Indian companies regarding the country’s upcoming DPDP bill.
“The new ZeroBounce India website and functionality demonstrate our commitment to our Indian clients. Additionally, it also emphasizes the steps we’re willing to take to ensure compliance with current and future local data privacy laws,” says ZeroBounce CEO Liviu Tanase.
ZeroBounce.net relaunches soon
In the coming months, ZeroBounce will also relaunch its platform Zerobounce.net, with an increased email validation accuracy of 99%. Moreover, the new platform offers a more intuitive user experience, higher speeds and better overall performance of its tools.
Thank you for helping ZeroBounce achieve this significant milestone. We’re happy to have you on this journey with us. We invite you to join us in celebrating this new launch!
