ZeroBounce Achieves SOC 2 Certification
We have great news to share: ZeroBounce is proud to have achieved SOC 2 Type 1 certification on March 31st, 2020. “This is yet another example of the company’s commitment to ensuring that customers receive the best service possible,” says CEO Liviu Tanase.
What is SOC 2 certification
According to the governing body, American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), SOC 2 is a “Report on Controls at a Service Organization Relevant to Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality or Privacy”.
In essence, a SOC 2 report is a holistic view into an organization’s overall ability to process user data in a secure and highly available environment.
This report summarizes an audit of close to 200 requirements that range from proper hiring procedures to ensuring appropriate security mechanisms are in place to help thwart malicious intent.
The audit is conducted by an AICPA firm.
Achieving SOC 2 certification: what does it entail?
The journey to achieving SOC 2 certification is not siloed to just IT. It requires collaborations from virtually every line of business.
For example, partnering with HR and department leads is necessary to ensure all aspects for the employee lifecycle are properly managed. This includes:
- proper job descriptions,
- hiring and interviewing checklists,
- background checks,
- ongoing training and awareness, and
- comprehensive employment termination procedures.
From the onset, we built the ZeroBounce application and our culture with a focus on keeping customer data confidential. In addition to achieving SOC 2 certification, ZeroBounce is GDPR and Privacy-Shield compliant.
Data protection, a cornerstone of ZeroBounce
When we started ZeroBounce, we had two main goals in mind: to offer you an accurate email verification service and protect your data in the process. While our engineers are constantly fine-tuning the email verifier, our security officers make sure our platform stays safe for you.
ZeroBounce received several certifications and accreditations – we invite you to see them here. Also, to learn more about how we protect your data, check out the documentation on the topic.
Does your email list need cleaning?
If you’re getting spam complaints and your bounce rate is higher than 2%, the answer is “yes.” Ignoring your email hygiene would be like us ignoring SOC 2 certification: it creates risks we don’t want to take.
A high bounce rate, spam complaints, your campaigns hitting spam traps and fake email addresses – all these issues affect your inbox placement. Email marketing is effective only when you manage to reach people’s inboxes, and that’s exactly what validating your contacts helps you achieve.
Don’t know where to start?
Creating an account with ZeroBounce takes less than a minute, it’s free, and comes with a bonus: 100 free email validation credits – every month. You can use those credits to either:
- verify any email address on earth, or
- score your email addresses by using our A.I. scoring service.
ZeroBounce is easy to use, but if you need guidance or have any questions, our team is always online to help you out!
